Director of Payment Strategy
Kevin Burgess joined Bytemark as Director, Payment Strategy in 2022. He brings 20 years of experience in IT with nearly a decade delivering software technology solutions in transit.
Kevin’s passion is to make transit more attractive and accessible, leveraging the latest technologies to deliver and continuously improve seamless and inclusive payment systems. He works to steer and promote the Bytemark vision for the future of Payments as a Service using his technical expertise and payment strategy experience.
Prior to joining Bytemark, Kevin was a payment solutions architect at Cubic Transportation Systems, focusing on the virtualization of transit cards and creating innovative payment solutions for transportation agencies around the world. Prior to Cubic, Kevin was a software engineer at Mi-Corporation where he worked with Transport for London and the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration creating mobile business applications. Kevin has an MBA from Duke University and ITIL v4 certification.
Kevin oversees Open Payments, NFC solutions, and furthering payment innovations at Bytemark. He lives in San Diego and is a running and cycling enthusiast.
